Friday: Sunny and Busy

Black Nocona elephant and deerhide cowboy boots, black Wrangler jeans, navy Carhartt shirt, white T, black union suit (first of the season), gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Best day of the week off weather-wise, but I was busy. Nice treat, though, at my last attempt at local bargain cold-weather buying: only 2 or 3 inches taller than me but his upper arms were about the size of my thighs (and, unlike mine, muscular), and he was wearing full-quill yellow ostrich boots. I would have liked to asked him about his boots, but he was busy looking for 2XL Hanes briefs.

Got another boot video in the works (will post tomorrow). If you are an LJ friend or we've been in touch by email AND have a YouTube account, let me know.

Thursday: Partly Sunny, Partly Chilly

Caramel Lucchese cowboy boots, Wrangler blue jeans, blue-green/white check thick weave Carhartt shirt, black Carhartt thermal top, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Took along the brown Lucchese and got some videos of both in the works. Even changed my belt.

Sightings? The line at Wendy's was long and, unfortunately, the guy with tight Carhartts and work boots was behind me. Would have been nice if the crowd was unruly and someone had pushed us together. But, civility prevailed.

Remember guys, if you're aging like me and the cold is a problem, this is the time to stock up on long underwear, union suits, coats, ear muffs, etc.

Wednesday: Cloudy until Dusk

Lucchese 2000 brown cowboy boots (I was lazy; also, hoped to video; weather didn't work), flannel-lined Carhartt blue jeans, blue denim Carhartt shirt, light-weight navy thermal T, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Shopping day today. Woofy guys in the first Bob's Stores.

The Day After: Rain Ended but Clouds Prevailed

Brown Lucchese 2000 cowboy boots, black double-front Carhartt dungarees (a little extra room to accommodate the results of holiday eating), black/tan Carhartt flannel shirt, black Carhartt thermal long-sleeve T, navy boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Also, walked a couple of miles to start to work off some of that holiday eating. Took the "T" to walk in a different part of the metro area, using money on my Charlie Ticket (which I won't need after the end of the month since I'm switching to the new Charlie Card with a LinkPass [which is 50% off through work] for unlimited rides on both bus and subway). I think I'm confused about these changes as Charlie was when they changed the fares on him. All this, just to say I exchanged a few words about the weather with two MBTA/Transit Police. They have great caps, but, alas, neither were wearing them.

Christmas: Gradually Cloudy

Lucchese goat ropers, black Wrangler jeans, black/white/brown shirt with tan collar, black Carhartt thermal T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Nice private Christmas with better half. Hope yours was good, too. Still eating, too!

The Night Before: Sunny, Clear with a Cool Wind

Tony Lama black cherry cowboy boots, charcoal gray Wrangler jeans, white Wrangler shirt, black T, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Final food shopping and just driving around yielded a nice tan work boot sighting.

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

Saturday: Rain Decreasing, Down Right Warm

Brown Boulet buckaroo cowboy boots, black Wrangler jeans, white/blue large check Carhartt shirt, black Carhartt thermal T, black pouch briefs, Dickies socks but not the usual.

My favorite supermarket for sightings did not disappoint: work boot and Carhartt daddies and other woofs with nicely trimmed facial hair. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a small package of frozen green beans (needed for Christmas dinner), so I decided to go to another one in a shopping center that just happens to have a Western store (safe, since it carries few boots in my size); took advantage of the 50% off sale on wallets and belt buckles. When the clerk asked about my boots and I told them what they were, he asked to see and feel the spur ridge. Very nice and properly done, he said. And, the other supermarket yielded a nice cowboy boot sighting as well.

Friday: Somewhat Overcast

Chippewa briar pitstop arroyos, flannel-lined Carhartt blue jeans, chambray Carhartt shirt, neutral Carhartt thermal T, white briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Worked a half day, shopped a half day, finished decorating the tree a half day.

Thursday: Cool but Really Nice

Chippewa logger boots, black Wrangler jeans, thick blue/thin white stripe shirt, black thermal Carhartt T, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Nice day for work boot sightings. Some of them seemed to be new -- were Christmas presents opened early? -- oh, that was my dream.

Wednesday: Fairly Cool & Fairly Sunny

Rocky police boots, black Carhartt jeans (another pair), blue shirt, black Carhartt thermal T, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

I seem to be back to normal, although there's still holiday stuff to do. I'm just glad at least one of my siblings isn't offended by late gifts. It's been a relief to be at work and not have to think about the undecorated tree (which is about 3 feet from me now). It'll at least get lights before Christmas.

Tuesday? Colder than Expected

Chippewa Crazy Horse work boots, black Carhartt jeans, dark navy fine check shirt, navy light-weight thermal T, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Monday: And, Sunday

Yesterday was a first in almost two years of daily posts: I didn't post. The pre-Christmas stuff/rush/shit is just taking over. Yesterday: tan Justin cowboy boots and really tight black Wrangler jeans. The most enjoyable thing (apart from the jeans) was watching Brad Paisley and Keith Urban DVD music videos while making bread (music was not heard when I had the KitchenAid whirling, who cares, nice views) for Christmas (yes, we're all that historically) presents for my staff. Cowboy boots at the supermarket.

Today: Timberland PRO black work boots, black pleated pants, dark navy fine check pants, white T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks. Also: Smooth leather cowboy boots (goat-like), could see the tops underneath his pants as he walked along.

[info]bullneck has it right.

Saturday: Moderate and Sunny

Lucchese 1883 cigar-colored lizard cowboy boots, Wrangler blue jeans, red/black/tan/white striped Wrangler shirt, light-weight white thermal T, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Friday, December 15, 2006

Friday: Almost Balmy

Bates military boots again, black pleated pants, navy medium check shirt, white T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

The first is what it really looks like; the second is a digital clean up.

Thursday, December 14, 2006

Thursday: Sunny and Mild

Carolina loggers, blue navy Dockers, thin navy stripe shirt, navy henley long-sleeve T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Tuesday: Clear, Cool, Collected

Chippewa Crazy Horse work boots, black Carhartt jeans, medium blue stripe and thin white stripe shirt, black Carhartt thermal T, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Good day for smiles and "hi's" -- and it's not even a Friday before a long weekend.

Another one from my collection:

Monday: Slightly Warm, Unexpected Rain

Black Timberland PRO boots, navy medium check shirt, navy long-sleeve Carhartt T, gray boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

From my collection:

Sunday: Warmer, Is This December (I'm Not Complaining)

Black Nocona elephant and deerhide cowboy boots (I think I'm environmentally and politically incorrect, but then again the environmental movement was started and now being embraced by folks in hunting gear), Wrangler blue jeans, French blue with white & tan stripes western shirt, blue thermal shirt, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

While shopping, good day for facial hair sightings, work boot sightings less than I get at work, but not bad.

Saturday, December 09, 2006

Somewhat Warmer Saturday

Chippewa briar pitstop arroyos, flannel-lined brown Carhartt jeans, black/brown/cream plaid Carhartt shirt, black long-sleeve thermal Carhartt T, black pouch boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

I knew he was a boot guy when walked in the restaurant at lunch -- couldn't see them until I left -- engineers.

Fairly Frigid Friday

Yeah, cold.

Carolina loggers (insulated), black Carhartt jeans, blue-green/white check thick weave Carhartt shirt, black Carhartt thermal top & bottom, also grey pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Long underwear showing through a man's ripped jeans. Priceless.

Thursday, December 07, 2006

Thursday: Kinda Nice Weather-Wise

Bates military boots, black Bass plain front jeans, medium blue stripe/thin white stripe shirt, long sleeve white T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

I was in meetings almost all day (one was enjoyable, the others tolerable), but I did manage at lunch to get a pretty good view of some cowboy boots I'd heard but not really seen or reported on before.

Wednesday, December 06, 2006

Wednesday: A Bit Mixed

Black Timberland PRO work boots (one became untied at the end of the day), black pleated pants, fine blue check on blue shirt, navy Carhartt long sleeve T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Back at work and able to see the local construction guys get off work. Lucky me.

Tuesday: Cloudy, Cold, Then Clearing

The context of this entry is that I'm finally feeling better after getting hit with a cold last night. I stayed at home and wasn't sure I was going to get out.

Late in the morning I heard a noise in front of my door. I looked out and knew exactly what it was -- the best cure for the common cold -- something I ordered months ago -- something that would force me to go out for a walk ....

So, horsebutt chocolate and soft bone Olathe cowboy boots (that's what the invoice says), brown Wrangler jeans, navy Carhartt shirt, neutral Carhartt thermal shirt, gray pouch briefs, clean white Champion socks found in a hotel room drawer during my recent vacation (yep, I'm perverted).

I also lucked out by getting off the bus near a construction site when the workers were leaving for the day: a flood of work boots, Carhartt jeans, dungarees, jackets ....

Olathe video forthcoming. Shot in this setting.

Monday, December 04, 2006

Monday: 7-10am Snow, Then Sunny and Cold

Chippewa Crazy Horse work boots, black Carhartt jeans, thin navy stripe shirt, black Carhartt thermal T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Sunday, December 03, 2006

Sunday: Carhartt Coat Still in Use

Black Justin cowboy boots, black Wrangler jeans, thick blue stripe/thin white stripe shirt, gray longsleeve construction company T, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Given that we spent 5 out of the last 24 hours here, surrounded by statues of naked Greek men, us seated, musically in heaven (aka 2nd balcony), boot sightings were limited to the Internet. Pepe Romaro rocked last night, and the trumpet sounded (as it has for 23 out of our almost 24 years together) this afternoon.

Saturday, December 02, 2006

Saturday: I Guess it's not August Anymore

Caramel Lucchese cowboy boots, brown Wrangler jeans, brown/black/tan flannel Carhartt shirt, lightweight thermal T, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Big Carhartt duck Arctic coat tonight! Oh, that's right, I left my gloves in the pocket last spring.

Last night. Absolutely wonderful.

Friday, December 01, 2006

Friday: Cloudy and Warm, But Weather is Changing

Chippewa logger boots, black Carhartt jeans, dark navy fine check shirt, navy henley long sleeve T, gray boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

When I turned the corner on the way to my bus stop, I thought I was going to be escorted by a motorcycle police escort, but, alas, he pulled out early. Wait! I'm supposed to be doing that!

Happy Friday to all.
