It Was Worse (Terrible) on Tuesday

Bates zip boots, the thinnest pair of pants I could find (Farah navy plain fronts), plain blue shirt, white T, white briefs, black work socks.

Weather like hell -- great conversation but very uncomfortable. It's amazing how normally breathable cotton and leather starts feeling like 70's polyester clothing, rubber belts, and nylon underwear.

And, why am I looking at mature cement-mixing truck drivers differently?

Miserably Muggy Monday

Bates military boots, plain front navy Farah pants, thin striped shirt, white T, the thinnest, loosest boxer briefs I could find, Carhartt logo socks.

I was about to write off the day as a complete loss, when, waiting for the bus to go home, a guy in a cement mixing truck made me shyly smile.

Sunday (More Instant Ancestors)

Nocona boots, rinsed Wranglers, navy Carhartt two pocket work shirt, Cabelas logo T, black Jockey pouch briefs, black work socks.

Standing on the corner, watching all the bikers with engineers and harness boots drive by.

Another Saturday

Durango boots, black Carhartt dungarees, red Carharrt T, knit boxers, Dickies work socks.

Motorcycle cop with boots almost knee-high.

Why Wasn't This an Early Friday?

LaCrosse work boots (sorry no individual pic posted yet), I-thought-these were-traditional-fit Carhartt jeans (maybe relaxed? my butt is sagging), tan Dockers shirt, white T, black briefs, Dickies (unless posted differently, they are their steel toe line, my current favorite).

Good beginning: guy in double-front Carharrt duck dungarees with big thighs. Nice morning break: lots of construction guys along with others on my break. Good ending: goated bus driver.

Humid Thursday

Bates zips, blue pleated pants, plain blue shirt, white T, boxer briefs, Dickies socks.

A busy day but did have a few minutes to drift into the past because of something like this.

Did You Hump Wednesday?

Chip logger boots, black relaxed fit Carhartt jeans (gotta love a job who thinks that is "dress casual"), purple thin check shirt, white T, black knit boxers, fuzzy blue work socks.

It started fairly well -- at my favorite construction site the T color was green today. It ended fairly well, too, although part of what it was the sight of "I'm not going to look like that when I'm his age" and then realizing I was older. The middle was "ok I know you're straight, but we are really grooving on other things."

Can I Remember Tuesday?

Bates military (and it wasn't raining), black pleated Farahs, dark medium stripe shirt, white T, black boxer briefs, gray/white work socks.

Nothing tremendously memorable. Gotta change that!

Triple Crown on Monday

Bates zipper boots, plain front black Farah pants (have the same effect depending on where my belt is as these pants), dark blue small check shirt, white T, black boxer briefs, black fuzzy work socks.

Triple crown (at least for today):

• Carhartt duck bibs & yellow T on a guy my age and size
• painter's pants that were far too tight and far too thin on a late 30's guy who I don't think knew he was showing his stuff
• very, very tight Levis on another guy my age and size (I am jealous)

Positive: 'Stache after 'stache after goat' after stubble, lots of facial hair on men of all ages.

Chip loggers, dark brown duck Carhartt dungarees, Cinch blue/brown/black check shirt, Cabela's logo T, old Jockey briefs, black work socks.

If I had to pick one, would it be the guy in the mini-van dressed like biker or the cute young-un with the two dogs?

Soggy & Saggy Friday

Carolina loggers, black regular fit Carhartt jeans (kind of new and still a little stiff), Carhartt tan and blue paid shirt, black Carhartt T, gray Musingwear pouch briefs, black and gray work socks.

AM: Orange T's on construction workers and lime-yellow raincoats on cops brightened the gray day.

PM: Saggy jeans, pants, and shorts. I guess I didn't get the memo about Friday's dress code. Did you?

Cool and Gray on Thursday

30 year old guy putting a metal sign on an outside wall, tight jeans & dark T, work boots. Tall and naturally muscular all over. 20 years ago I spent a lot of time regretting the fact that I was never going to look like that. Now, as he spreads his legs and lowers his back to attach the bottom of the sign, balancing himself firmly with one hand against the wall, all I could think of was that his navy blue hanky should have been in his right rear pocket instead of the left.

Long Weekend: Tuesday is a Monday?

The most intellectual thing I did today: identify a guy's Carhartt jeans from the front -- not the label on the back. Not that I wouldn't have been interested in seeing his back ...

RED Carhartt T, WHITE Dockers shirt and matching Dickies socks, BLUE 501 jeans, Black Durango work boots with matching Jockey pouch briefs. I tried to do "made in the USA," and then tried to do "made in NAFTA," but it just didn't work.

Thanks to a long stop light got a good view of a pair of engineers on a biker.
