In the morning, I walked into a store behind three scrawny young men who arrived in beat up pick-up with a Confederate flag raised on the back of the cab. One was wearing cowboy boots; the other two, loggers.

Thursday: Nice Day for a Drive

Thanks to riders making their way to the Harley Rendezvous Classic 2008, there were lots of nice boot and leather sightings along the last half of my drive on the Mass. Pike and at the Lee service center and the first half of my ride on the Thruway and at the Pattersonville travel plaza.

I don't do this at home (because there's too much stuff on the coffee table)

There are a lot of big boats, trucks, and SUVs in the motel parking lot
(and the owners I've seen are big, too--breakfast should be interesting)
