Thursday: Fairly Sunny but Getting Colder

Rocky police boots (gotta stop buying cowboy boots and get a replacement for these), blue medium wale cords, black with matching blue check flannel shirt, black Carhartt thermal T and bottoms, gray pouch brief, usual Dickies socks.

I was planning to take a different bus today, but fate intervened, and I headed toward the usual one. Well, that meant passing the sidewalk site I observed yesterday. The cop wasn't there, but there was a third DPW guy -- slightly larger than 300 (man, I slowed down and got great view from the back). And, there was a fourth, at slightly under 200, whose clothes would more likely fit me. So, that was about 1100 pounds of construction manhood (and hard hats, and Wall's jackets, and sweatshirts, and jeans, and insulated coveralls) in a small space. If this gets to be much more tomorrow, I may not make it to work.

Thursday: Clear and Colder Than Yesterday

Rocky police boots, black Carhartt jeans, medium blue stripe shirt, black thermal Carhartt T & bottoms, gray boxer briefs [a lot of clothes to paw through when you gotta go, but I'm such a wimp in the cold weather], usual Dickies socks.

I'm continually amazed at how bright the yellow jackets are of the cops I see at work. Unfortunately, today the only sighting was from a window three stories above. The drunk construction workers wearing Carhartt jackets that passed me by at 5:10 at the bus stop were, however, priceless.

Wednesday: Fairly Cool & Fairly Sunny

Rocky police boots, black Carhartt jeans (another pair), blue shirt, black Carhartt thermal T, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

I seem to be back to normal, although there's still holiday stuff to do. I'm just glad at least one of my siblings isn't offended by late gifts. It's been a relief to be at work and not have to think about the undecorated tree (which is about 3 feet from me now). It'll at least get lights before Christmas.

Fair Halloween

Rocky police boots, navy plain front pants, thin navy stripe shirt, gray long-sleeve Carhartt T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Thursday: Chilly

Rocky police boots, navy pleated Dockers, wide blue stripe shirt, thermal long-sleeve T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Changed into blue shirt and tie (I hate wearing ties [unless they're clip-ons] since I only wear them for wakes and funerals). The crowd at the wake did yield one cowboy boot sighting.

Wednesday: Partly Gloomy

Rocky police boots, navy pleated pants, navy fine check on blue shirt, white T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Both cops today, short but big, well-worn paratrooper boots but well-tailored uniforms. #1, behind me at the deli, ordered two large chili's ....

Tuesday: Warmer Still

Rocky police boots, black Carhartt jeans (kept falling down today for some reason), dark navy small check shirt, white T, gray boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

On my way from the bus stop into work, I ran into a guy my age who works near me. We've never introduced ourselves, never even really talked, but we always say "hi" or smile at each other. It was a hearty "hi" this time. The fact that he works facilities and I, well, let's just say I sometimes have to look professional, doesn't matter. He wears a wedding ring; I don't, but we're both married. There's something about being this age I really like.

Friday: All Sorts of Weather, But No Rain

Rocky police boots, navy Dockers pleated pants, wide blue stripe shirt, white T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

A good day (among other things was introduced to someone with a complimentary statement about both my age and sexuality), but what a week! Longing for the cowboy boots....

Wednesday: Nice Day

Rocky police boots, navy pleated Farah pants, light blue fine check shirt, white T, white pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Wednesday: Quite Nice

Rocky police boots, black Levi's 501 jeans [Note to self: Remember when you wear these again, the medium blue hanky in your back left pocket does not provide sufficient cushioning for you keys. If you also want your keys in the back left pocket, attach them to you belt key holder.], dark blue fine check on light blue shirt, white T, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Monday report

Rocky 10 in. super insulated black boots (uncomfortable but warm and waterproof), navy blue flat front cords, medium blue check shirt, Carhartt thermal undershirt, black Merona boxer briefs, gray work socks.

No sightings of boots or interesting guys to report. Had pleasant remembrance, though, of a construction worker I used to see everyday in my way into work directing trucks into the work site. Probably close to my age, slightly shorter and broader, gray hair sticking out from his hard hat, t-shirt, sweatshirt, or coat depending on the weather. Very gregarious and always moving. Almost always saw him from the rear. His jeans were loose in the ass, but when he would shift his weight from one leg to the other, you could tell he had a muscular one. Maybe a little sagging but that's part of aging. I saw him on more than one occasion bending down, knees bent with his hands on his thighs, and once bending over all the way. All rear view. Very pleasant memory.
