While the sighting wasn't bad, the overheard conversation between two cops was intriguing: #1: "So, what did you do in Vegas this weekend?" #2: "I drank." #1: "You drank?" #2: "I drank and drank and drank." My first thought was "What happens in Vegas should stay in Vegas." Then I thought, "I would have watched and watched and watched."

Nice exhibit, great museum. Then into town. It sure is a different place.

It's Been an Artsy Summer for Me

In June, I got the wonderful opportunity to see some privately-owned paintings of Thomas Eakins--famous for his male figures, the ones in this collections were old, thoughtful/brooding; the eyeglasses, mustaches, and clothing were wonderful.

Today Better-half and I took the day off and took in the Edward Hopper exhibit at the MFA. Hopper has this wonderful way of not depicting unimportant detail. Personal to me since we've spent a lot of time in his Maine, Gloucester, and Cape haunts, and my living in New York was less than 40 years after he began his. We got to see these (and a lot more):
















Oh, yes, we also saw a lot more.

Nice young cop sighting at Dunks in the AM. I think my boots were a sighting at lunch.

Tuesday: Very Nice for July

Timberland PRO work boots, black Dockers pleated pants. shirt very similar to yesterday but a different brand, white T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Monday: Unpredicted Rain and Then Unpredicted Cool Weather
