I've had the Dayton work boots for several years; they sit in the basement ready for small times of garden work and other manual tasks. I've never worn them for more than a couple hours at a time. While I was packing, they asked if they could go on vacation, too, and I agreed. Today was a long driving day, and, since I looked kind of scruffy (like the kind of guy who usually gets a look from me), they fit my outfit better than any thing else I took on vacation. And, they did their job quite well. They had a previous owner. I often wonder what he was wearing with them.

Finally, a decent picture of my tiny black Timberland PRO work boots. My first pair of insulated, water-proof work boots was a tan New England-made Timberland (I think fall 1977). Not quite the same quality now that they are made in China. Still, not bad. No trouble breaking them in. I can wear them in summer. Comfortable. I see tan ones all the time. The nice thing about the black ones is that I can wear them when I need to dress like an adult.

Inspired, I ordered the Cowboy Burger. You know what they say, "Save a horse, eat a cowboy."
