On the way back from getting lunch saw a guy I usually see in beat-up boots wearing new dark gold/caramel-like cowboy boots.

Sunday: Kinda Mild, Sun Then Cloudy

Tan cowboy boots sighting on a good-looking guy going into an antiques store.

Saturday: Sunny, Chilly

Friday: Blanket of Real Snow, Sun, Getting Colder

The mid-day sun had a lot of us smiling, including the big hunky construction workers I let pass on a narrow sidewalk. The biggest one was in the rear; he said with a smile, thank you, and I returned the greeting.

Thursday: Still Cold but Nice, Forecast Isn't

Wednesday: Still Melting

Most of my boot sightings were much like mine.

Tuesday: Much Warmer

Ice melting. Warm enough that the stereotypically studly UPS guy at my bus stop on the way home wasn't wearing a coat -- just the long sleeve shirt and pants....

Monday: Cold!

Tan Justin cowboy boots, Wrangler blue jeans, muted red/blue/etc. southwestern flannel shirt, neutral Carhartt tops & bottoms, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Sunday: Fairly Sunny, Slightly Less Cold

Durango farm & ranch tripled-dyed cowboy boots, flannel-lined brown Carhartt jeans, tan/black/white check flannel shirt, black Carhartt thermal top, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Sort of overwhelmed by sightings in the crowds. One smile (which I tried to reciprocate) made all the difference.

Saturday: Some Melting

Friday: Sunny, Still All Just a Sheet of Ice

Cat is ok for us to leave for the sitter, so we're on for the weekend.

Thursday: It All Turned to Ice, Sunny, Howling Winds Now

Ice. Slip sliding away! And, do we get the car out by Saturday? Two day vacation, including a play in Da City.

Wednesday: Snow, Sleet, Rain, Awful

Duck Carhartt sweatshirt, nylon pants, bark Carhartt jacket, rotated thin leather police gloves with insulated police gloves, both from Quartermaster.

Tuesday: Very Cold, Windy, but Sunny

Bates military boots, navy plain front cords, medium navy stripe shirt, black Carhartt thermal top and bottoms, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Monday: Sunny, Cool, Windy

Redwing logger boots, Carhartt dark blue jeans, blue/white large plaid flannel shirt, lightweight neutral thermal T, blue/black stripe briefs found in a hotel drawer. usual Dickies socks.

Sick today, I only ventured out for lunch wearing Carhartt Arctic duck overpants instead of the jeans.

Worth venturing out if only for the sighting of some black logger boots with attitude (I wish mine -- pictured to the left -- matched the attitude).

Sunday: Relatively Warmer, Partly Cloudy

Several good-looking older guys in cowboy hats (a rare sight around here) today at Wal-Mart, mostly with sneakers, but one guy with strange short but under-slung cowboy boots -- interesting.

Saturday: Chilly, Less Wind

I may have seen briefly glimpsed lizard cowboy boots under dress pants at symphony.

Friday: Frigid, Fairly Sunny

Carolina loggers (sorry, I'm in to the repeat of insulated boots), navy cords (like most of the other pants I've been wearing, too big because they've got to account for the layers underneath), blue medium stripe shirt, neutral Carhartt thermal T, black polypropylene bottoms, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

I think I saw something today to blog about, but it's Friday and I just can't remember.

So nice to see so many men in ill-fitting pants (bet you're wearing long underwear, too!).

My Blog is two years old today (and I'm now in, gasp, my "late 50s"). I'm going to drop the WordPress version. I'm not going to worry if it takes me several days to update the Blogger/Blogspot version. No other changes foreseen.

This year, the poetry is better than last year's.

Passed a car pulled over by a MSP officer. He was not wearing a jacket (see, I do look above the boots). "Brr!," said I. "He looked like he had plenty of personal insulation," said better half.

Saturday: Dusting of Snow, Chilly but Clear

Several guys in nice logger boots in the supermarket, and a guy strutting in Carhartt duck thermal overalls, long sleeve T, cowboy hat, work boots.
