When I got on the bus, I saw a guy who looked familiar. Nothing in his face or chest (he was seated in a far seat) looked familiar. When he got up and I saw he had calf-high military boots under his dress pants, I remembered why I recognized him. I can't find an entry; it may be pre-blog.

Three policemen: one in a car I talked to, a motorcycle cop with well-fitting breeches who smiled at me, and another motorcycle cop with ill-fitting breeches who did the cop-scowl thing when I passed. Odd that I actually looked above the boots. And, why didn't this happen to me when I was younger?
