Wasn't prepared for this one: rubber knee high boots tucked into tight jeans, harness that outlined front and rear in (generous) detail. Tan leather work gloves.

Dug out a 20-year old pair of well-oiled 8" work boots for Wednesday. The leather is great, but the size and sole comfort level just isn't there any more. I guess my feet have changed. It started fairly well -- at my favorite construction site the T color was green today. Now, as he spreads his legs and lowers his back to attach the bottom of the sign, balancing himself firmly with one hand against the wall, all I could think of was that his navy blue hanky should have been in his right rear pocket instead of the left.

Friday Before a Long Weekend

It was a good jeans day -- not jeans on other men but jeans on me. I really can't judge how I looked. But how they felt was wonderful. They grabbed me by the hips and helped me stand and walk with confidence. And, when my shirt, T, and briefs were fighting with each other, they stayed appropriately steady and strong, with an occasional soft caress when I needed it.

This is probably the strangest thing I've written so far and the most ungrammatical. Thank goodness the weather is better and it's a long weekend.

Somewhat disappointing day for boot sightings. Then again, a quick trip to a boot store after lunch had a young sales guy recognize my boots. Just couldn't see much of his.

New Lucchese boots, dark brown Wrangler's, black Carhartt T, black Musingwear pouch briefs, Dickie's work socks. Belt matching the boots. But I am losing my Wrangler butt and gaining a Wrangler gut!
