Wednesday: More Pleasant than Predicted

Chippewa Crazy Horse work boots, new navy plain front cords, new medium navy check shirt (a replacement for one that's fraying), white T, black union suit, white briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Pleasant day for sightings, too.

Tuesday: In the Sun, Nice; In the Shade, Not Nice

Carolina loggers, flannel-lined Carhartt blue jeans, blue/white plaid heavy-weight Carhartt shirt, black Carhartt thermal T, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks. Hairs cut.

Monday, January 29, 2007

Monday, Monday: Sunny but Cold

Chippewa logger boots (I haven't been wearing them much since I got my new contacts since I have to put on reading glasses to lace them up), black Carhartt jeans, black & white plaid flannel shirt, black thermal Carhartt top & bottoms, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Walking up the street to buy my lunch, a guy on the sidewalk was putting on his insulated coveralls. I could have used the same.

Sunday, January 28, 2007

Sunday: Almost Balmy

Lucchese 2000 brown cowboy boots, Wrangler blue jeans, blue denim western-style Carhartt shirt, neutral Carhartt thermal T, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Cowboy boot sighting (nice jeans, too) in an antique store (where I didn't buy a police hat).

Saturday, January 27, 2007

Saturday: Tolerable

Brown Boulet cowboy boots (which I learned that the bottoms were bullhide when they were fondled before Christmas), brown flannel-lined Carhartt pants, black Carhartt thermal T, added light-weight black thermal bottoms for the evening, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

I think it was a first in my standing outside a frequent Dunks watching guy footwear before a cultural event: cowboy boots, cream color, someone in my age range, blue jeans, it worked. Hmm...

Friday, January 26, 2007

Friday: Clear, The Big Chill

Black Timberland PRO work boots, brown medium wale cords, black/tan/white check Carhartt flannel shirt, thick black polypropylene bottoms and tops, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

I got rides both to and from work, so no sightings at my favorite hole in the sidewalk. Sorry, but at wind chill at minus 10, it's ok for an aging guy to be a wimp. Besides, at that temperature, you know what would have been shrinking, anyway.

To warm me up when I got home, I watched this again.

Thursday: Fairly Sunny but Getting Colder

Rocky police boots (gotta stop buying cowboy boots and get a replacement for these), blue medium wale cords, black with matching blue check flannel shirt, black Carhartt thermal T and bottoms, gray pouch brief, usual Dickies socks.

I was planning to take a different bus today, but fate intervened, and I headed toward the usual one. Well, that meant passing the sidewalk site I observed yesterday. The cop wasn't there, but there was a third DPW guy -- slightly larger than 300 (man, I slowed down and got great view from the back). And, there was a fourth, at slightly under 200, whose clothes would more likely fit me. So, that was about 1100 pounds of construction manhood (and hard hats, and Wall's jackets, and sweatshirts, and jeans, and insulated coveralls) in a small space. If this gets to be much more tomorrow, I may not make it to work.

Wednesday, January 24, 2007

Wednesday: Partly Sunny and Tolerably Cold

Black Timberland PRO work boots, black Carhartt jeans, thick stripe blue shirt, black Carhartt T, navy light-weight thermal bottoms, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

It was a great day for men sighting, as I should have realized by the 900 pounds shared by the cop and two city workers digging up the sidewalk when I turned the corner on my way to work.

Tuesday, January 23, 2007

Tuesday: More Gray & Cold Than Expected

Chippewa Crazy Horse work boots, brown flannel-lined Carhartt jeans, brown with red/blue/cream plaid check shirt, black Carhartt thermal T, gray boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Monday, January 22, 2007

Monday: Flakey, Cloudy, Almost Bearibly

Carolina loggers, medium stripe navy shirt, black short pocket Bass pants, black thermal Carhartt T, light-weight black thermal bottoms, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Sunday, January 21, 2007

Sunday: Early Flakes, Sun, Clouds, Chilling Wind

Horsebutt chocolate and soft bone Olathe cowboy boots (vertigo I don't mind), black Wrangler jeans, red/white/black plaid flannel shirt, neutral thermal T & bottom. white briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Several pairs of nice riding boots and one stunning pair of breeches in "The Cherry Orchard" -- oh, and Kate Burton was, as always, brilliant. Oh, and got home early enough for the 4th quarter, but, alas, the Pats just lost.

Saturday, January 20, 2007

Saturday: Early Flakes, Then Sunny & Very Chilly Winds

Tan Justin cowboy boots, two-sizes larger Wrangler blue jeans, denim Carhartt shirt, black Carhartt thermal tops and bottoms, white pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks. Tan Carhartt zip sweat shirt, Carhartt duck coat with hood. With all that build-up in the pants area, kind of looking good down there. Getting better at finding it when I need to.

Lots of guys appropriately booted at Wal-Mart and the supermarket, and I wished I had got a better look at the guy with some kind of Chippewa heels and nicely stacked jeans.

Friday, January 19, 2007

Friday: Early Flakes, Then Sun, Almost Balmy

Bates military boots, black pleated pants, medium blue stripe shirt, neutral thermal Carhartt T, light-weight black thermal bottoms, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Frequently Fridays are days for smiles back and forth from men I do not know. I like it.

Thursday, January 18, 2007

Thursday: Sunny & OK

Chippewa Crazy Horse work boots, medium wale navy cords, fine check blue shirt, black thermal Carhartt T and bottoms, gray pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Wednesday, January 17, 2007

Wednesday: Cold as ...

Carolina loggers, brown medium cord pants, blue shirt, polypropylene T & pants, white briefs, usual Dickies socks. Carhartt tan zip sweat shirt. Carhartt Arctic duck (with hood) coat.

Sudden drop in temperature today. Meeting day. Trying to balance how cold it was with self-presentation.

Got an anniversary coming up. Thinking about changes. Suggestions? What is the best for you two or three readers? E-mail.

Tuesday, January 16, 2007

Tuesday: Back to Work, Getting Colder

Black Timberland PRO work boots, navy pleated Dockers pants, thick stripe blue shirt, white T, black union suit, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Wearing a hood is so much fun.

Well, it's a Carhartt duck arctic hood (not leather, rubber, or spandex), but it snaps on to your coat and keeps your head and ears warm, stays on your head, and doesn't mess your hair up -- and some men look back to see if they know you, because they can't tell from the back or side.

Monday (Avoiding Ice to the North): Rain & Fog

Black Justin cowboy boots, flannel-lined Carhartt blue jeans, big blue check Carhartt shirt, neutral Carhartt thermal T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Went shopping for button-down dress shirts at Brooks Brothers dressed that way.

Sunday, January 14, 2007

Sunday: Gray, Cool, and Somewhat Wet

Chippewa briar pitstop arroyo boots (I know what "arroyo" means; I have no clue about "briar pitstop"), brown flannel-lined Carhartt jeans, dark red flannel shirt with cream and light red plaid, black Carhartt thermal T, black boxer briefs, heavy-weight Carhartt socks.

The concert was very enjoyable -- I'm a big fan of the pianoforte -- two on the stage was absolutely wonderful -- and the 72 year-old conductor was hot. Scared the nun to my left when the handle of the umbrella on my lap popped out during the performance -- not Freudian. And, while not a good day for boot sightings, a nice day for male facial hair.

Saturday: Rain Clearing and 40's

Tony Lama black cherry cowboy boots (all day today, including the musical tonight; the TL problem last Saturday wasn't the boots but the socks; whew!), black Wrangler jeans, new black & white plaid flannel shirt, lightweight navy thermal long-sleeve T, black pouch briefs, thinner Dickies socks.

Warm enough to have a MSP sighting without a jacket (even my normal boot obsession was drawn to the French blue shirt). In spite of being out and about a good part of the day and evening, not much else.

Friday, January 12, 2007

Friday: Clear and Warmer

Chippewa Crazy Horse work boots, black Carhartt jeans, navy medium check shirt, navy long sleeve Carhartt T, gray pouch briefs, those other Dickies socks.

Thursday, January 11, 2007

Thursday: Clear and Colder Than Yesterday

Rocky police boots, black Carhartt jeans, medium blue stripe shirt, black thermal Carhartt T & bottoms, gray boxer briefs [a lot of clothes to paw through when you gotta go, but I'm such a wimp in the cold weather], usual Dickies socks.

I'm continually amazed at how bright the yellow jackets are of the cops I see at work. Unfortunately, today the only sighting was from a window three stories above. The drunk construction workers wearing Carhartt jackets that passed me by at 5:10 at the bus stop were, however, priceless.

Wednesday, January 10, 2007

Wednesday: Clear and Even Colder

Black Timberland PRO work boots, navy pleated pants, dark navy fine check shirt, white T, black union suit, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Tuesday, January 09, 2007

Tuesday: Clear and Colder

Chippewa Crazy Horse work boots, black Bass pleated pants, medium navy plaid shirt I meant to give to Goodwill, black Carhartt thermal T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Today I got to relive 1876 (sometimes I think I'm that old) with its interesting ways of describing things: "He was a man of larger endowment and more varied attainments than was generally known."

Monday, January 08, 2007

Monday: Rain Day

Bates military boots, black pleated pants, medium blue stripe shirt, white T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks,

Got to relive 1989 today.

Sunday, January 07, 2007

Sun-Day: 20 Degrees Colder but So Sunny

Lucchese 1883 cigar-colored lizard cowboy boots, brown Wrangler jeans, tan/brown/black plaid Carhartt flannel shirt, black T, black pouch briefs, found/used socks.

Cowboy boots, nice worn engineers, huge work boots at WalMart, and then nothing else.

Saturday Addendum: Cop Sighting

It's kind of sad that seeing the historical Boston Irish cop (probably a Sullivan) is a fading memory. Then, again, I watched one last night. Thought he looked old until I realized he could have been younger than me.

Saturday, January 06, 2007

Saturday: 70 Degrees

Tony Lama black cherry cowboy boots, black Wrangler jeans, purple/black plaid Carhartt shirt, black T, gray pouch briefs.

Changed into black bullhide Nocona boots (the TL's were giving me some slight trouble) and a white shirt (to look a little classier) for the evening out.

70 may not be the official temperature, but the car was displaying that several times today.

And, I cheated again by seeing cowboy boots (big ones -- well over size 12) in a boot store (needed Lexol; also bought a shirt on sale and a pair of larger Wranglers I can wear with long underwear; almost bought another belt, but decided I really do have too many).

Friday, January 05, 2007

Another Fried-day: Almost Balmy

Carolina loggers (aging, but still kinda fun -- oh, like me), black Carhartt jeans, fine navy check on blue shirt, navy Carhartt long-sleeve T, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Actually, it was a good Friday, and I enjoyed my bus ride home, too (dirty mind still very active).

Thursday, January 04, 2007

Early Thursday: Nice (and it's Jan.)

Bates military (permanent shine), black pleated pants, medium navy stripe shirt, black Carhartt thermal T, gray boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Wednesday, January 03, 2007

Wednesday: Nice Weather!

Chippewa Crazy Horse work boots, navy pleated Dockers, wide (not wide-wide, just wider than the other ones) blue striped shirt, black Carhartt thermal T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

I think the boots I wear for work are somewhat jealous when I have those long stretches of cowboy boot wearing. Don't they understand their label numbers are higher?

Video (YouTube is having problems, this isn't always showing up even though I loaded it two days ago): Caramel Lucchese -- and, the non-boot stuff on this one is great -- think about a religious sect that thought equality between male and female was so sacred, it prohibited sex between genders.

Tuesday, January 02, 2007

Tuesday: Fairly Sunny & Windy

Black Timberland PRO work boots, black Carhartt jeans, fine navy check on light blue shirt, navy Carhartt long-sleeve T, black boxer briefs, usual Dickies socks.

Back to work -- oh, I remember work.

Monday, January 01, 2007

New Years Day: Rain, Fog, Fairly Warm

Durango triple-dyed ('cause they're practically waterproof), black Wrangler jeans, new dark red flannel shirt with cream and light red plaid (think tasteful 70s lumberjack), navy medium-weight thermal shirt, black pouch briefs, usual Dickies socks.

I think I'm ready to order my next pair of cowboy boots (let's see how long the order will take). Sorry, guys, no poll. I've made up my mind.
